Junior MBA Programme Organized at Kalinga University
Faculty of Commerce and Management in coordination with Dean Students Welfare of Kalinga University successfully organized Junior MBA program. Junior MBA is a new concept introduced in Chhattisgarh for the first time by Kalinga University. In this, students who have just qualified class 12th or who are studying in class 12th are provided with in depth information about the opportunities and challenges related to management field.
This is done through lecturers, role plays, case studies and several interesting management games and quiz contests. Large numbers of students from Raipur, Durgand neighboring districts took part in the session. Session was organized from at Air Conditioned Auditorium of Kalinga University, Naya Raipur. Students took part in various fun filled activities and were awarded certificates on the concluding day by the university authorities.
The first day session was attended by over 85 students and Registrar of Kalinga University Dr Sandeep Gandhi gave welcome address.He informed about the idea behind the five days long session of Junior MBA organized for the first time and extended his best wishes to the participants. First session was addressed by Mr Alakshendra Mogre, Motivational speaker and trainer and second session was team building activity where participants build paper tower’s with limited resources. On the day two first session was taken by Director General, Dr Byju John on ‘How to become Rich? ’ On the same day second session was on Reel making competition on the theme ‘Kalinga Life’ where by participants created reels in University campus and posted it on their instagram, tagging universities officials page.
The group is getting huge numbers of likes and views. On the basis of number of views winners were decided and awarded on the concluding day. During day three the first session was addressed by Mr Pankaj Tiwari, Director Corporate Relations and second session by Vice Chancellor, Dr R Shridhar. He presented overview of Kalinga University. Third session of the day was ‘Squid game’ and participants played the game based on the instructions given to them on group basis. On day four first sessions was addressed by Dr Jasmine Joshi, Dean Student Welfare (DSW) on ‘Management Lessons from Bollywood’and second session was fun filled ‘Treasure Hunt’ played in the university campus.
Third session was ‘Open Mic’ the participants performed various activities like, Solo Dance, group Dance,poetry, story-telling and Mimicry.Finally the day five started with fun activity where students played Guess the Brand, movie and riddles followed by lunch and valedictory. The winners of all the activities were felicitated in the presence of Vice Chancellor, Dr R Shridhar and Ms Shinki K Pandey,Head of Department of Management and Dr Sampada Bhave, Head of Commerce Department. Faculties present were Dr Komal Gupta, Mr Debasis Mohanty, Mr Ram Girdhar, Ms Swati Tiwari, CMA Sujata, Anchoring was done by Ms Riya Goel and Mr Satvik Jain. Marketing teammembers active during the event were Mr Yash Sharma, Mr. Mohammed Taukir, Mr Yashvant Janghel, Mr Pankaj and others. Students grooved on the tunes of catchy Bollywood songs after they received certificates.
